Palworld Troubleshooting
Connect to a Palworld server.
Use direct connect, confirm the address and port, and rule out the most common client-side join errors.
Quick answer
Use the full address with the port
Open your server in the VialStack game panel and copy the primary address from the server header or allocation list. Palworld needs the full address, including the port, in this format:
address:port
For example, if the panel shows node1.vialstack.com:25569, players should enter that exact value in Palworld direct connect. Do not enter only the IP or only the hostname.
How players should join
- Start Palworld and make sure the game is fully updated.
- Open the multiplayer or community server screen.
- Use direct connect or search by the exact server address and port from the panel.
- If your server has a player password, enter the player password. The admin password is only for admin commands.
After support restarts the server
If support restarts the server for you, give it a minute or two to finish coming back online, then have everyone fully close and reopen Palworld before trying the direct address again. A restart will not change the address or port shown in the panel.
If one friend cannot connect
- Have them retype or paste the full address with the port. A missing port is the most common cause.
- Confirm they are on the same Palworld game version as everyone else.
- Have them fully close and reopen Palworld, then try direct connect again.
- If they use a VPN, school network, work network, strict router, or mobile hotspot, try a normal home connection as a test.
- If only one player is affected while others can join, the issue is usually on that player's client or network path.
If nobody outside your house can connect
Check that the VialStack panel shows the server as running, then send support the exact address players are entering and a screenshot or exact wording of the Palworld error. We can check the server state and allocations from our side without interrupting your world.
What support may ask for
- The exact address and port your friend typed.
- Whether the affected player is on Steam, Xbox app or Game Pass, or another platform. Platform and version mismatches can affect Palworld joins, so include this when you contact support.
- Whether other players from outside your network can join.
- The exact error text and when it appears.
