Icarus Setup

Create an Icarus server.

Use this when you are starting a new Icarus dedicated server from the VialStack setup screen.

Before you start

What to pick

Icarus is available in the VialStack Create Server screen as Icarus. For most active co-op groups, start with Icarus Standard. Use Starter for small private testing, or Heavy if the world is busier or Standard is not enough.

The Icarus dedicated server is currently treated as a beta server by the game developers and runs the Windows server build through a compatibility layer. That is normal for this game, but first installs and updates can take longer than lighter Linux-native games.

Steps

  1. Sign in at billing.vialstack.com.
  2. Open Servers, then choose Create Server.
  3. Search for Icarus and pick Starter, Standard, or Heavy.
  4. Enter a server name that players will recognize in the Icarus server list.
  5. Leave the query port at the default unless VialStack support asks you to change it.
  6. Create the server and let the first install finish before starting gameplay.

Plan notes

If it does not show up

Refresh the Create Server page and search for Icarus again. If it still does not appear, open a support ticket and we will check your account and the product catalog.
