Set up a Garry's Mod Workshop collection

Garry's Mod servers often use Workshop collections, server.cfg, maps, gamemodes, and addon folders.

Common files or settings

garrysmod/cfg/server.cfg
garrysmod/addons/
garrysmod/maps/

Create or choose a collection

Use a public Steam Workshop collection that contains the addons players need.

Add the collection ID

Put the Workshop collection ID in the panel field or startup variable your server uses.

Restart and test downloads

Restart and join once. Missing textures usually mean missing content, private collection, or client download issues.

Quick checks

Back up before changing saves or major settings.
Restart after saving config changes.
If it fails, read the first error in the latest log.
