Configure a Counter-Strike 2 server

CS2 servers commonly use server.cfg, map lists, game modes, RCON, GSLT tokens, and optional SourceMod/Metamod.

Edit server.cfg

Set hostname, password, RCON, game mode options, and match settings in server.cfg.

Check server token

Public CS2 servers may require a valid game server login token. Keep it private.

Restart and test

Restart, connect directly, then check browser visibility after a few minutes.

Quick checks

Back up before changing saves or major settings.
Restart after saving config changes.
If it fails, read the first error in the latest log.
