Create an Arma Reforger server.

Before you start

What to pick

Arma Reforger is available in the VialStack Create Server screen as Arma Reforger. For most groups, start with Arma Reforger Standard. Starter is intended for smaller vanilla sessions, while Heavy provides more room for busy scenarios and Workshop content.

The first installation downloads the current dedicated server files, so it can take longer than later starts. Let the installation finish before changing settings or adding mods.

Steps

1. Sign in at billing.vialstack.com.
2. Open Servers, then choose Create Server.
3. Search for Arma Reforger and pick Starter, Standard, or Heavy.
4. Enter a server name that players will recognize in the in-game server browser.
5. Create the server and wait for the first installation to finish.
6. In the game panel, review the Startup settings for the server name, player limit, passwords, scenario ID, visibility, BattlEye, and third-person setting.

Plan notes

• Arma Reforger Starter: 6GB RAM and 50GB disk for smaller vanilla sessions.
• Arma Reforger Standard: 8GB RAM and 75GB disk, the recommended default for most groups.
• Arma Reforger Heavy: 12GB RAM and 100GB disk for larger scenarios or more Workshop content.

Important settings

The default scenario is Conflict. You can change the scenario ID in Startup settings. Leave Visible in Server Browser enabled if players should find the server publicly, and set an admin password before sharing administrative access.

Workshop mods are configured in config.json. Back up the server before making a large mod-list change, and check that the JSON remains valid before restarting.

If it does not show up

Refresh the Create Server page and search for Arma Reforger again. If a created server is missing from the in-game browser, confirm it is running and visible, then open a support ticket so we can check it with you.
